Centering health equity for all trans & nonbinary people in San Francisco & the world

HIV Prevention & Care Among Trans People in San Francisco

By Erin Wilson, DrPH

About Us

From the first trans health community study in 1999 to the first international study of trans women in three countries, TRUE builds on the longstanding history of research in San Francisco and its commitment to San Francisco’s thriving trans and nonbinary community.

Our Work

Our work brings together community experts and advocates to put science to work. Our projects estimate the size of trans and nonbinary populations, shed light on health disparities and social inequity, and leverage technology to improve health care. Learn more about our local and global projects and how invested we are in training the next generation of scholar-activists.
